The beginning is half the whole. And this is something Dinos Papapolyzos knows very well — the mastermind behind Trek Development, a company active both in the development and financing of infrastructure projects and in the implementation of projects in the “hot” sectors of smart energy and water management.
The experienced entrepreneur, a graduate of New York University and Columbia University, rang the bell of the Athens Stock Exchange just half a year ago, marking the debut of his company’s shares on the Alternative Market. And within that short period of time, he has managed to attract strong interest from the investment community, delivering an impressive debut that is reflected not only in stock market performance but also in the company’s fundamentals.
Notably, Dinos Papapolyzos saw net profits for 2025 soar by more than +125%, reaching €1.3 million, while EBITDA more than doubled from €0.8 million to €1.7 million, implying a margin of around +45%, given that turnover reached €3.8 million. In addition, the company maintains zero debt, increased equity of €4.6 million, and a dividend payout of €500,000.
The main challenge for the head of Trek Development is maintaining the growth rate (up to +30% in turnover and up to +25% in profitability for 2026). This target may be achieved either through organic expansion or through acquisitions. In fact, he does not rule out the possibility of targeted deals in 2026 in the professional services and construction–energy project sectors.
A solid foundation for the current year is the backlog of signed contracts, which stands at approximately €8.5 million—without excluding the possibility that this figure may increase further during the year.
On the other hand, competition from the industry’s major players, combined with dependence on European Commission funding, remains a central issue in the strategic planning of the main shareholder and CEO.
What is certain, in any case, is that Dinos Papapolyzos’s “fresh” business proposition has made a strong impression on the investment community. From €11 million in market capitalization last November, when Trek Development made its debut on the stock exchange, the company’s valuation has now reached €26 million, with the share price having surged by around +130%.
Will it be able to grow even further, continuing its positive trajectory of recent months and potentially opening the door to the Athens Main Market in the future? The answer lies ahead…
