TREK Development, with its over two decades-long track record in cross border, transnational and interregional cooperation has been selected by the EC – DG REGIO to enhance and support the Border Focal Point Network (BFPN https://futurium.ec.europa.eu/en/border-focal-point-network). The BFPN is an EU-wide professional network bringing together experts promoting cross border interaction, sharing of good practices and addressing legal and administrative barriers in European border regions.
Throughout the 2-years project duration, TREK (in consortium with Low Associates, UK) will focus on bolstering the Border Focal Point Network’s role as a digital pan-European community bringing together European cooperation structures, policy makers, experts, civil society institutions, and cross-border citizens. TREK Development’s experience and expertise will be utilized in:
• Developing new resources, including written and video content, showcasing good cross-border cooperation practices and successful examples of policy affecting EU border regions
• Designing and supporting interactive discussions and live events to foster engagement and collaboration
• Expanding the network’s reach by implementing targeted outreach campaigns
