State Museum of Contemporary Arts is among the most prestigious modern Art museums in Europe, with its main collection focusing on avant-garde and post modern art. The collection is representative of all the trends and tendencies of the Russian avant-garde community, namely, Kazimir Malevich, Vasilii Kandinsky, Liubov Popova, Vladimir Tatlin, Aleksandr Rodchenko, Ivan Kliun, Solomon Nikritin, Olga Rozanova, Varvara Stepanova, Nadezhda Udaltzova, Mikhail Matiushin, Gustav Klutsis. TREK was awarded the full scale digitization and documentation of a couple of thousands of collection items (paintings, drawings, constructions, ceramics, etc.) along with the creation of the museum's portal. Project is budgeted at 800.000 euros, with a 12 month duration.
The project of digitization and presentation of the Museum's collection through the Internet is a disciplinarian and multilevel work. On the one hand, documentation and knowledge of art "translated" into digital forms is a multitasking and delicate work to be deivered by TREK experts. On the other hand enterprise Content Management Systems has been applied for the presentation of the collection to the Public, via Internet. Ease of use, personalization features, clarity, multi-threating environment and stability are the main characteristics of the new Museum's portal, soon to be on-air.
