As of August 2009, TREK has been appointed by the Regional Authority of Sterea Ellada (Central Greece) / Managing Authority for the ROP Sterea Ellada 2007-2013 to offer technical assistance and special advisory services in the field of Culture and Sustainable Development for the benefit of the Region of Sterea Ellada.
As of August 2009, TREK has been appointed by the Regional Authority of Sterea Ellada (Central Greece) / Managing Authority for the ROP Sterea Ellada 2007-2013 to offer technical assistance and special advisory services in the field of Culture and Sustainable Development for the benefit of Prefectures, Municipalities and other public organizations within the limits of the Region.
Budget is at the order of 150.000 euro and duration up to the end of 2010.
The Region of Sterea Ellada is found in the center of Greece, borders to north on Thessalia, to west on Western Greece and to south on Attica. Its eastern border is the Aegean Sea and the Eubean Gulf and its southern border is the Corinthian Gulf. It is constituted by the prefectures of Viotia, Evia, Evrytania, Fthiotida and Fokida. It occupies a total extent of 15.549 square kilometres (percentage of 11,8% of total extent of the country).
TREK has been appointed to offer technical assistance to more than 150 potential beneficiaries (local/regional authorities, other public entities and non-profit organizations) in the area of Culture, Cultural Preservation, Dissemination and other cultural activities, within the framework of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) 2007-2013, and especially the Regional Operational Programme Thessalia - Sterea Ellada - Ipiros. TREK will assist each and every potential final beneficiary of the programme within the limits of the Region of Sterea Ellada, by means of administrative, technical, legislative and operational facilitation for their better preparation towards project design, submission and implementation. In particular, TA services apply to the following stages:
. Preparation of proposals taking into account the existing legislative and regulatory framework and ensuring the inclusion of all documents required
. Evaluation of proposals, follow-up to applicants for clarifications and submission of complementary documents, modification of proposals, uploading information about approved proposals on the Integrated Information System for NSRF
. Implementation of the approved projects: preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly progress reports according to the requirements of the Integrated Information System for NSRF, compliance with publicity rules, preparation for audits and controls, assistance in the filing system, ad hoc consulting services etc.
