Design and implementation of the Strategic Communication plan for UNESCO's international conference in Athens in December 2004, attended by 50 Ministers and international personalities of the Olympic movement.
TREK Consulting's Strategy and Communication Unit designed the central "concept" and conference theme, designed and created publicity tools such as the logo, motto, framework and modelling of the communication initiative, grouped the communication policies of the sub-themes and in particular that of anti-doping, informed the press and handled the media, undertook online publicity (webpage: http://www. minepsiv.gr), and had overall responsibility for the realisation of the three-day conference.
During the conference, over 50 Ministers and 200 High Officials from all over the world met in Athens to discuss the
1. Draft International Convention against Doping in Sport
2. Strategy for the development of Sports and Physical Education in educational systems
3. Women in sports and in decision-making centres.
A significant event during the Conference was the adoption of the Athens Declaration, regarding international efforts against doping, international strategy to promote physical education in schools, and the position of women in sports decision-making centres.
