Financial Instruments for SMEs in Greece & Albania

TREK to design and execute a first class Financial Instruments initiative for SMEs, in the border region of Greece and Albania. The so called ACCESS project targets the most serious obstacle of enterprise and business, namely access of small and medium companies to capital and other forms of financing, such as micro-credits, senior loans, guarantees, counter-guarantees and other mezzanine products. TREK to offer services to the Chamber of Commerce of Ioannina, Epirus Region and the Chamber of Commerce of Gjirokastër, South Albania.

The ACCESS Project seeks to improve the access of Greek and Albanian  small and medium-sized enterprises (VSES/SMEs) in modern financial instruments,  so as to develop, invest in innovative activities and become more competitive and extroverted. The main idea of the project is the networking of supporting business organizations (Chambers and NGOS) from the program’s eligible cross-border area and their equipment with the appropriate instruments and tools(offline-online), in order to support access to financial tools (and contemporary) of VSES/SMEs cross-border region.

To achieve this aim, the Project foresees a wide spectrum of services, to be developed jointly under the Project’s framework and will be available (through the establishment of structures within the participating institutions), but also virtually through the Internet (through the platform to be developed along with the use of social media), and will include Information, Networking, Training, Advisory, and Capitalization Services.
