Job description:

The candidate will monitor EU Initiatives across the spectrum, match those with TREK priorities, propose opportunities and facilitate the concept note creation, networking with other EU potential participants/partners.

Following, he/she works on the proposal, collaborate with different specialty teams within TREK, lead relative activities and co-ordinate the consortium for the proper and in-time submission of proposal to the relevant program agency.

 KEY TASKS:

  • Coordination, supervision and participation in the visualization, preparation, submission, monitoring, and implementation of projects in the context of EC programmes (HORIZON2020, EASME, GREEN DEAL, INTERREG, etc.) and other European Initiatives. 
  • Coordination, supervision and participation in the preparation of bids/proposals (technical/financial offers and supporting documents) for the provision of services to public and public equivalent bodies (including the European Commission and its agencies) in the EU. 
  • Business development (expansion of collaborators’ networks, building bidding alliances etc.) in Greece and the EU. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post Graduate degree in Urban/Regional Development, or Economics or Public Administration, or Engineering/Science, from an accredited institution
  • Excellent English and Greek speaking and writing skills (reporting, drafting proposals/tenders and studies)
  • 8 years of experience in similar position with proven track record in EU programmes/projects
  • 3 years of experience in leading teams (project managers / consultants)

 PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND ASSETS:

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of EC programmes
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of EU Regional Policy
  • Excellent knowledge of public procurement rules in Greece & EU
  • Solid practical experience in project management (certificates are not necessary!)
  • Knowledge of another EU language (preferably French or Italian)
  • Advanced computer literacy

  PERSONAL ASSETS:

  • Strong managerial, organizational and administrative skills, ability to plan, coordinate and implement the tasks
  • Drive, determination and the ability to take personal responsibility for delivery of high quality results meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent networking, communication and presentation skills
