ΤREK has undertaken, following a respective Works tender, the energy upgrade project of two school complexes in the remote border area of Echinos, Xanthi, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable infrastructure and energy efficiency.
The project concerns Echinos Junior High School and the Special Minority Primary School of Echinos and includes a comprehensive package of interventions aimed at reducing energy consumption and improving comfort conditions for students and teachers.
The scope of works includes the installation of heat pumps, photovoltaic systems, high-performance energy-efficient windows and doors, as well as façade improvement works through the application of thermal insulation systems and energy-efficient exterior coatings on both school buildings.
The project has a contract value of €405,000, with a completion period of 18 months. Upon completion, the two school facilities will benefit from significantly improved energy performance, lower operating costs, and a more modern, safe, and environmentally friendly learning environment.
Through this project, TREK continues to support the development of sustainable public infrastructure that creates long-term value for local communities and future generations.
