TREK to sign a Project Development & Project Finance Technical Assistance with the Region of Epirus, Greece. Assistance to be provided for the analysis, modeling and management of a 64 Million EUR Energy savings and infrastructure RES consisting of LED/Smart street lighting, Energy efficiency & RES in Public Buildings and electric lake transportation. The project is first of its kind to be deployed in Greece and in SE Europe. Duration is 2 years with service budget of 727.000 EUR
Epirus is of the most isolated Regions in Europe and energy consumption accounts for a big portion of the budgeted expenses, mainly for Public use buildings and resources. On the other hand one of the main obstacles in Project Development in Greece is the lack of studies and other services connected with the so called “infrastructure project maturity”.
Following intense and systematic work, TREK has been appointed to run and supervise a three pillar energy efficiency Infrastructure project, namely: 1) energy efficient Lake transportation for the Ioannina lake, 2) Smart lighting for urban and rural lighting of Epirus 900 Km national roads and those of Municipal lighting of Igoumenitsa, Preveza and Arta and 3) Energy efficiency & Renewable infrastructure for 54 Public buildings across Epirus Region.
TREK is responsible of relative studies, contract management, services for tender preparation and selection, as well as monitoring of selected contractors.
