TREK awarded by the European Commission, a 1,96 million EURO Digital Financial Security project, to further develop the supply and demand sides of cyber insurance services by improving risk assessment, in order to support insurance companies in estimating risks and setting premiums, and by stimulating and improving insurance decisions of IT companies and managers thereby enhancing decision support on risk transfer
The project led by TREK is based on different groups of actions. The first group focuses on scientific and technological developments and will lead to the provision of a model for cybersecurity risk management with a focus on optimal security resources allocation in presence of adversarial threats, emphasizing the inclusion of cyber insurance in the security resource allocation. The second group refers to the development of the key Toolbox to support optimal cyber security decision making while the third group will test and validate the results through online behavioral experiments as well as through a comparison with current standards and directives in order to suggest required policy changes
