4.700 Digital hydrometers in the suburbs of Athens, smart water infrastructure and smart city apps for the most valuable asset, the Water!

Duration: 12 Months, Βudget:2.968.783,20€

The project aims to enhance the water supply infrastructure of the Municipality of Mandra-Eidyllia through the provision and installation of digital water meters and an advanced automatic consumption control system. This initiative is part of the broader effort to upgrade the municipality’s water supply systems, ensuring more efficient management and monitoring of water resources.

Τhe primary objective is to apply a water system that allows for real-time monitoring of water consumption and improved detection of leaks and inefficiencies. By installing 4,700 digital water meters equipped with communication capabilities, the municipality will gain enhanced insights into water usage patterns, enabling more effective resource allocation and waste reduction.

Key Components:

  1. Digital Water Meters: The project includes the supply and installation of advanced digital water meters, complete with integrated data recording and communication technologies. These meters will facilitate accurate consumption tracking and immediate alerting of anomalies.
  2. Communication Network: A robust communication network will be established to connect the digital meters to a Central Control Station (C.C.S.), allowing for seamless data transmission and centralized monitoring.
  3. Portable Control Stations: Portable units will be supplied for data collection and programming, enabling field staff to easily manage and monitor water usage across the network.
  4. Central Control Station: The installation of a Central Control Station will enable comprehensive data analysis and management, including software for consumer interfacing and leak detection.
  5. General Services: Training, documentation, and maintenance services will be provided to ensure smooth operation and sustainability of the system.

This project is anticipated to significantly improve the municipality’s water management capabilities, leading to increased efficiency, reduced operational costs, and enhanced service delivery to residents. By modernizing the water supply system, Mandra-Eidyllia aims to promote sustainability and responsible water usage within the community.
